I am so tired of all these so called mechanics, Now a days going buy what they were thought in tech school,And buy the books, None of them follow what there brain is telling l them anymore, That the problem might be with the vehicle, Of what i have learn, In over 55 years of working on the older vehicles, Don,t always go buy what you were told buy the instucters in the tech school or buy the books, Or what the scanners show, Or the dianostic equipment. I have seen so many times where the techs have done that, And replaced parts, And the customer still is having a problem with the vehicle. Being that all fuel injected vehicles, Use a ECM To monitor what is going on with the vehicle, They are not fool proof, The sensors on the vehicle, Work on a electric signal, And anything having to do with electricity can mess up, If the votage controlling it changes for some reason, And drops down drassictly, This can mess with the sensors, And the ECM in the vehicle, These sensors relye on a proper signal going to them, They are no better, Then having idiot lights, To monitor what is going on with the vehicle, Even if you have guages in your vehicle, They work on a electronic signal going to them, Meaning voltage, Why do you think in race cars, They use mechanical guages in the, Or any gear head has mechanical guages installed in there vehicle, Mechanical guages are well knowin to be very accurate, Not like a electric guage, Or having idiot lights to monitor the vehicle.
Do not fall for what any off these wanabee mechanics tell you all the time, If you have a newer vehicle that is fuel injected, If your check engine light comes on , And there are permanent codes showing on the scanner, If you have a 2009 or newer vehicle , You are told all the time by the mechanics, The vehicle needs to be repiared , Then the codes will clear them selves after a while, In some cases where the problem was intermittent, And never happen again, Do not fall,For there BS,
2 car pros.
I acquired this Pontiac Grand Am ( Model 1995) in 2006, a second-hand one arriving to Iraq from Japan. It was termed ( A Bride) when i first bought it, its interiors smelled like every brand-new car that I had bought in the past but the impotent and reckless repair guys here in Iraq spoiled it with stupid attempts of improvisational repairs here and there ( and even replacing its sensors and switches to benefit a few dollars as the spares here are almost none). Our mechanics combine stupidity, stubbornness and arrogance to which the result was a consuming car. I attended a Pontiac forum years ago and then I landed on this heaven a few months ago as I was trying to solve so many problem that had accumulated year after year, wires having different colors of extensions, sensors connected to wrong wires,. Etc. The guys here not only were extremely potent and well-informed with what I can call as ( respectable skills), they had the sweet feature of patience and perseverance dealing with my multiple queries as if their own. I already am a mechanical engineer ( and an retired officer too) with some 41 years of service years in various fields, I faced almost impossible challenges during the blockade years from 1990-2003 that I did beat with excellence but when it came to this car I stood helpless with no catalogs, schematics or field experiments and measurement values. I have been to UK in 1983 and to USA in 2011 and managed to meet too many beautiful souls of this great country, I may be right when I say that this is a site that USA should be proud of, a one of a kind and I be tremendously indebted for every feed that I had received so far. Greetings from Iraq to you all ( Joe/ JacobandNicolas, Danny L, CARADIODOC, Roy/ASEMASTER6371, Steve W, Colby/COLBY_STEPHENSON2000
Rely on these people for every puzzling issue in your car, you wouldn't regret it, i did so.
The specified GM spare parts according to the feed I managed to lead and receive on this site.
