This app is amazing. It really helps my kids with their learning. Only downside I have seen is that the math problems in particular aren't setup to show their work. They're lined up side by side. For a 2nd grader who isn't familiar with borrowing or place value it can be challenging.
The experience has been fun and I love the way that the app takes the time to test the child's knowledge without any help on the pretest to see where they are and I feel like that is something every app should do to make sure they know what work to present to the kids!
I like the feedback given after an incorrect answer. However, I wonder if there could be more steps to help the student get the right answer?
Also, I don't like the really long social story videos. I just want my students to practice math skills but a few times they have had to sit though the long videos and they get frustrated. The videos have way too much verbal and not enough opportunities to respond for students with disabilities.
Child really seems to like the program so far. I am a little lost yet on how to keep track wher she left off, so I don't know where to start her again every day. Also during set up, I had accidentally set up extra users that I can't figure out how to delete
Your activities have been great for reading and math concepts. If there is a way. To skip the two characters in the classroom and on the playground that would be great. Especially my 4 year old grandson who needs to engaged in an activity right away.
I just started using the paid plan on Adapted mind and my kids are loving it. This is the new revolution of learning and I would subscribe over and over again.
My daughter is 4 and can already read entire kids books. My text messages out loud at family gatherings too (eye roll) lol. I wanted to brush up on her math skills and logic skills/common sense skills.
This app/game has too much talking though. She lost interest before it even began. And then when I finally did finish setting it up, there was MORE talking all through out the game.
Also, way too expensive. $10 per subject is crazy. These app prices are getting out of control. Idk, I'll let her play with it while the trial lasts (if she even wants to with all the talking involved). But after that, I think we're done. Sorry.
Hi there! Thank you for the thoughtful feedback, and I’m sorry the talking slowed things down. Our stories/skills lessons are meant to build good learning habits, but we hear you they can feel long for some kids. We’re exploring skip options and can share updates with you.
On pricing: AdaptedMind is $9.95/month after a 30-day free trial. If you’d like help or have billing questions, please email info@adaptedmind.com.
The starting test is all word problems and unless your child is reading and comprehending on grade level they will struggle to answer. There is a voice that reads but they still have to comprehend the question in order to answer and it puts many off and they become clickers
It's fun and all but 10/20 minutes of my time is wasted on a little story NOT THAT I DON'T APRETIATE IT THOUGH! And there isn't that much learning mostly just questions. Not what I was expecting but again, I have only been doing it for 3 days so just a rookie's view! Overall, I rate if 4 stars because it is well organized and a fun way for a kid to learn!
1. After signing up for paid account, you get upsells straight away. With your kid on your lap eager to get to playing and learning right away, it's not helping
2. Images and animations are nice, but quizes itself could be better: e.g. voiceover is too robotic, equations are split between lines making it hard to read for a child
3. Some quizes are confusing e.g. "how else can you write 3+4?" - my child did "1+6" but the system does not understand it and failed
Thought this would be something she could do on her own, but found a parent has to be with her to read the questions. Example the math for grade 1, doesn't have simple 4+3=7 set up. It's worded differently, she didn't understand, also couldn't read how it was presented to her!
Not something I'll be paying for past trial!
My daughter is loving AdaptedMind. She wakes up asking for it. She also goes to the computer to find it on her own. And in a world where so many children don't like school or may be scared to learn new things. This one earned my vote. I would like for them to be able to listen to the books in Reading. I think that would help some homeschool moms for those in prek. Other than that, great job.
Amazing service from polite staff

I signed up for a free trial and had to go back and forth with support because the app wouldn't let us play. No matter what I did, the game wouldn't move forward and said to come back tomorrow. I'm now about two weeks into the free trial and my son has only gotten to play once. The support team sent the technical issue to the appropriate team multiple days ago and it still hasn't been resolved.
AdaptedMind has been just what I needed to help my son which is behind is communicating for his age get up to speed and expand his knowledge. Thank you AdaptedMind for the opportunity to teach my son at home in the convience of my own home. I can't wait to see his growth over the next few months. Much appreciated!
Our children all are on the spectrum and have very high intellect so they are often bored in school with grade-level math! This app offers something for all three of our children, from 1st Grade all the way to 8th Grade in age range, and they can do harder problems to entertain their intellectual needs!
I think this is a good app for kids. Very kid-friendly and supportive. When my daughter is doing well and receives positive reinforcement. She likes to continue going and 20 minutes is up before you know it. So, it would be nice to even ask for parent permission to continue going at 30 minute intervals as a parent option. Maybe no longer than 1 hour. It's just when things are going well, it is a motivator when they enter into the achiever mindset and begin to create their own goals to "try" more. Just a suggestion.
My kids both equally enjoy the activities on here, mostly the math as they are still learning the other educational elements.
My kids use adapted mind to support their mastery of skills.
The feedback we get ensures that we understand our kid's progress so we know the next steps we should take.
The service grows with your child and adapts to their progression. I love how this program works!
We have 3 kids (7,8 and 10) and just got a home computer. All three kids have loved adapted mind and we have been really pleased with the content and approach.
Thanks very much for doing what you do!
