Holborn Assets

I recently moved to Dubai with my wife and two kids. The city is absolutely fantastic! After a few months we had settled into Dubai, found a school for our kids and found a house to rent.

Although we were renting, we really wanted to buy our own place, but couldn't really afford to do so as the money we made when we sold our UK property sadly disappeared very fast with all the costs and expenses of moving to Dubai.

So it was time to start looking for a mortgage. A colleague of mine recommended I tried a company called Holborn Assets Limited, which according to him (I never personally found out) had been in the UAE for nearly 20 years.

Although they did not physically provide the mortgage for the property we wanted to buy, they did find the best mortgage deal which I would not of found without their help.

At first I thought it would be easy to do, as coming from the UK there are loads of sites on the web where you just type in your mortgage needs and it will come up with the best 5 mortgages to suit your needs, but in Dubai, they did not have this. (WINK WINK ENTREPRENEURS)

After contacting Holborn Assets Dubai, telling them what I need and the property I would like to buy, one of their advisers, who was a mortgage specialist, did a load of work and research to find our not very straight forward requirements and gave us simple instructions on what documentation was needed to acquire the mortgage.
