On 2 different occasions I was travelling from Kelowna to Vancouver.
The first incident took place on highway 1 westbound where they are widening the highway.
This is just after the Mount Lehman entrance westbound where 3 lanes merge into 2.
After merging into what would become the left lane and the safety cones are eliminating the far left lane making it seriously dangerous and unsafe to even try passing anymore traffic.
This person all of a sudden tried to force me into the right lane and crash into the vehicle beside me.
I held my ground and this person was forced to discontinue without causing an accident or end up in the construction zone.
This driver ended up coming in contact with my vehicle.
This driver failed to stop, exchange information, left the scene of an accident and committed hit and run.
I then called 911 and ICBC and reported the incident.
The police did nothing about it and ICBC demanded all evidence without releasing a copy of the other drivers statement.
The other driver denied hitting my vehicle so I sent ICBC proof that he lied.
ICBC stated to me that they were closing the file.
This is a friendly bit of advice when dealing with ICBC and that is don't freely give them your evidence without statements from the other parties as once they make a decision your only avenue after that is court.
Without proof of what other parties state, ICBC can make other persons statement conform with your evidence and lay blame against you even if your innocent forcing you to proceed to court like I have to.
Supreme Court can be very expensive to be exonerated for something your completely innocent of.
I got work done by an auto body company and the company didn't do all the work that needed to be done and over charged icbc the insurance company and icbc took there word leaving me to finish the car out of my pocket
