I used them at one time and had okay results... now they keep calling me and will not take my number from their call list. They have all been rude and interrupted me continually. I wish there was a way to make them go away and stop interrupting my workday.
If I could give zero stars or negative stars I would. This is possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with. They are all scammers, cheaters, and persistent on making life miserable with contacting me constantly after I initiated the first call to them. I am sorry that I ever did and now blame Apple for suggesting them. They are trying to refund me $299 and want to get into your computer to do so. I have never paid them $299 so I know they are full of crap. After going online recently I now know that there were hundreds or even thousands of others that are having the same experience. STAY AWAY from this crooks.
I used them back in 2013 which they did fix my computer, however I do not even have that computer anymore and they bombard my phone with calls. They are very rude and will not answer questions, when I ask for a representative they just hang up one me. Just recently they have been calling from and "unknown" Number and my service provider can not do anything about it.
I worked for them as an onsite tech, the pay was already super low. Then when they got banned from doing business in the US I never got my last 1 1/2 weeks pay. Also they still advertise and take calls from US... WTF!
I had no problem with my computer in 2015 when I received a call that said it was from Microsoft. I was told I had a virus and before i knew it I was authorizing someone from IYogi to take over my computer. After being shown online bogus lists of virus on my computer I then lost $200 for a protection contract. Then I had trouble with my computer. After taking it to be de-bugged to a local Tech I was told this was all a hoax. Every day now I receive a telephone call from them even though I have told them do not call me again. At this point it is harassment. I intend to report them to the FDC.
I had a contract with Iyogi for a couple years. Then a couple years ago they informed me they could no longer honor the contract. They did not, however, refund any money. I am now getting calls purporting to be Iyogi employees wanting access to my computer so they can refund my money. I do not believe they are Iyogi employees, but scammers taking advantage of the Iyogi lawsuit. I simply tell the scammers that if they are Iyogi employees then they know my address so just send me the money, and hang up.
I keep receiving calls from iYogi every day saying they will refund my money, but I have to go www.teamviewer.com/en to get my money back. I refused to go to their site and I said to them if you are going to refund my money, just refund my money, you have my address and phone # and just do it, and they hung up the phone on me.
After numerous problems with their service including trying to sell me unnecessary software and hardware, I uninstalled their software. Since then I've received an increasing number of phone solicitations from a call center asking for access to my computer. Currently I receive 3-4 calls every day from unknown numbers, no caller ID, numbers missing a digit, and Dummy numbers from all over the United States. No matter how many times I ask them to stop, the calls only increase in frequency. Last week someone from iYogi gave me the email address *******@iyogi.com with instructions on how to cancel my membership. My email bounced back as undeliverable. Today, their representative asked me to pay them $100 to have my name removed from their systems. He said five of their technicians would be assigned to the task and it would take them less than eight hours. How do we stop this harassment?
This guy who claimed to be Frank Walker said he was from Windows and wanted to give me a $199 refund for services that they had provided in the past. He proceeded to tell me that I would get the refund if I downloaded Team Viewer, which started to do. Then I became skeptical as I remembered this No Caller ID number calling over and over and over. When I told him that I did not want Team Viewer, he told me that he has access to my computer and will block it and that it could never be used again. At that point I was so angry I told him that I was going to call the people at windows and report him. Actually 0 stars, this company is rude and it is a telemarketing scam!
I have been a customer of Iyogi for a number of years. They always tryed to sell something, however, they used to be VERY good at fixing problems. Something happened and they stopped being reliable. They called again today, but when I said I still had a contract with them, the call ended with a promise of a call back. I dont trust them anylonger.
Between my husband and myself we spent 10 hours in front on the computer in one day. BEWARE! Don't waste your time. We went 5 full days without internet access or removal of our viruses. 3 return phone calls with an appointment also to no avail. This is a rip off. Also be informed that is you have Shield Deluxe, change your antivirus software. This is the company that recommends iyogi.
I've been an iYogi customer ever since Dell refused to extend services on my desktop computer nearly 10 years ago. I never regretted that decision. Throughout the years, iYogi support is always available every time I had a problem, whether it was a computer virus, or a Windows upgrade, or a disk crash. Moreover, I don't think any tech support service in the U.S. can and will ever match iYogi's pricing. The 24/7 service at iYogi is provided by college trained computer science majors, and software engineers. They are truly professionals. I hope iYogi will remain as a customer-oriented independent company, and not get swallowed up by a big company only interested in squeezing more money out of their customers and their own staff. Good job, iYogi, and good luck!
I first connected with iYogi in a panic that my new laptop had stopped working properly. The techs were helpful, knowledgeable and fixed it on the first call. Very relieved to have found iYogi and their customer services is always excellent.
Not being a computer geek, I have found iYogi to be invaluable in maintaining and keeping my computer running at maximum efficiency. They are easily available online or by phone at my convenience. Though they are based in India, language has not been a problem since most of the communication is online and not subject to accent. Pricing seems reasonable, and there are no hidden charges.
My only complaint, the reason for 4 rather that 5 stars, is that they often try to sell additional services during service calls. They are by no means insistent, but I personally find it aggravating.
I have been with iYogi for about 5 or 6 years. Although I have not had the need to call very often, when I do, I get excellent support. All of their technicians are professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable.
Iyogi has protected my computers for 10 years or more. With their link right on one's computer, they respond within minutes, and always quickly corrected any problem I had, They even resolved problems which were nothing more than my lack of knowledge on running various programs. Compare that with my experience with what may be the well known computer support team I somehow got trapped into even though I already had Iyogi. I thought, "well I will try them" and did so Three times. Each time was three to five hours before they contacted me, and not one of those times did they correct the problem. At least one of those times, I analyzed how to correct it, and did so myself after they signed off. I simply could not possibly be in business if it were not for Iyogi, and with them I can work securely 16 hours a day, with only an occasional problem for them to correct. Thank you Iyogi. J. W. Smith.
IYogi gave me very special service. I am not a computer junkie/nerd and the technician realized that early in our conversation and made all adjustments for my ignorance and incompetence. He solved my problems—which were substantial as I had been shut out of much of my computer/internet usage—and I have had no problems since.
I would recommend iYogi to anyone, including the real pros.
Their closing words are, "Good Karma" and that is what I have had since I subscribed to iYogi in 2009. Without exception, they have solved every problem I have had for six years, and some of them have been very challenging. I depend on iYogi to provide, install, and configure all my software and updates, including security protection. Their technicians are competent, polite, patient, and (best of all!) only one click away on my Support Dock at any time, day or night. "Delicious!"
My experience with iYogi has been wonderful. When ever a problem has come up they were there to get it fixed in no time at all. There has never been a long wait to talk with their techs. They are all very pleasant and helpful. I would strongly recommend this to everyone thats looking for an anti virus protection.
It is helpful to have techs that can be called up at a moment's notice to fix what's ailing your computer. They kept my old Dell in pretty good shape for several years until I bought a new Dell a week ago. But they do more than just fix. Not being a whiz on computer, if I need to do something that I'm not sure how to accomplish, they are there to help in that regard as well. They are very helpful and courteous too.
Answer: Oh, please, how many people are you willing to let "piggyback" on your lawsuit? I'm so fed up with scammers/shoddy services from companies. IYogi played a good game in the beginning but now it is in the proverbial toilet.
